Welcome To My Website!

My name is Alex Anderson (Alex is short for Alexandria) and I'm a licensed Realtor with RE/MAX Advantage Plus in the southern Twin Cities area. And, although I actually live in South Minneapolis - I serve the entire Minneapolis/St. Paul area (and beyond).

I was born here, lived most of my life here in the Twin Cities metro area, and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in 1994.

One day after working for 12 years in retail-management (in the "rat race" as Robert Kiyosaki would put it) -  I  was given a copy Robert's best selling book "Rich Dad - Poor Dad" as a gift. It was an audio-book, so I listened to it while driving back and forth to my job everyday. I found this book to be so interesting - that I continued listening to ALL of the "Rich Dad" books in the series.

After several months of studying this eye-opening and educational material - I found that I had become obsessed with the idea of building wealth and preparing for my retirement by investing in real estate.

After going through and unfortunate divorce in 2001 - I opted to move in with a close friend and rent-out my house in Edina as my very first Minnesota income-property. Although this was a challenging time for me - it gave me a very good basic-understanding about how to manage and maintain an investment property...

After another year or 2 of real-world experience renting my property as an investment - I started attending every local real estate investing seminar - and reading every new book I could get my hands on!

Eventually - I found a local Realtor who has a bunch of investment properties of his own (right here in Hennepin County) - and after attending about a dozen of his seminars - I knew that he was practicing the "Rich Dad" philosophy and I felt that I could trust him.

This Realtor (who's name is Ryan O'Neill and who is now my boss) mentored me in a way that took my investing & management skills to a whole new level when I finally purchased my second investment property with him in early 2005, by using the untapped-equity of my first house.

By this time, I was also beginning to host regular Rich Dad "Cash Flow Games", having become fascinated with the process and wanting to share it with all my friends and family. (I also dragged anyone who would listen to the seminars with me).

Note: Cash Flow 101 is a board game (similar to Monopoly) that was developed by Robert Kiyosaki to help people to get a financial-education and learn about investing (without having to spend real-money or years of time...

...I also found love again and became engaged to another man who whole-heartedly supports my investing endeavors. When it became clear to me that this was my passion, my fiancée and I declared that I would leave retail altogether & work in the real estate investment industry full time!

Within only 2 short months it was true! In 2005 I began working with beginning and intermediate investors, and now work with the "Minnesota Real Estate Team" which was the #1 RE/Max team for 2006.

Having helped hundreds of investors get started building their own wealth with real estate - I feel that I've come full-circle...

I simply love sharing my experience with people in a way that's educational and inspiration and have earned a reputation of doing it in a way that's un-intimidating and easy to understand.

I do this by always providing the most current tools, tried-and-true methods, quality resources and media that will support you to reach your particular investing goals and needs.

It's completely clear to me that helping people in this way is what I was meant to do in life - and I will continue to support investors to build their wealth and prepare for retirement until I'm ready to retire as well.

My commitment is that every person feels supported and secure in actively fulfilling on their goals (whatever they may be) and able to leave a legacy for their children and grandchildren.
